FINAL FOUR

So it has been three weeks since I have gotten back to my blog duties. I apologize for this, yet I should inform all that we are down to two, and wouldn't you know it we will be watching a repeat of the BCS Championship game on Monday night in Atlanta. Ted Ginn Jr. and Troy Smith certainly will have a rooting interest as will Jim Tressel who is hoping Thad Matta does not get as outcoached by soon to be Kentucky Wildcat head coach Billy "ashley judd's baby's daddy" Donovan like he was by the best coach in college football not named Carroll, Urban Meyer. Florida is on the verge of doing what few have done and it says something about the 5 starters and chris richard who have been focused as ever during the ncaa championship. Donovan has been able to utilize brewer to shut down opposing guards' in this tourney: Afflalo, Rush, Porter, Graves among others. Horford is a rebounding machine, lee humphrey might be the best pure shooter in CBB, Green can do it all and Joakim Noah, as much as he is hated, he deserves props for giving love to cavemen everywhere with his emphatic chest bump. Either cavemen or the catcher in angles in the outfield Messmer. And Chris Richard is one of the best big men not talked about in CBB and he will be a force for the Gators and their new coach. I am a bit disappointed in the lack of exciting finishes in either game tonight, as was advertised, but now it must be decided. Both teams are riding a bit of destiny. Is Ohio St. destined to win it all after near death experience against Xavier and Tennessee or is it Florida destined to repeat because of their efficiency and tough, grind it out style of basketball and their quest to repeat. It will be determined Monday night, and as many of you will, I will be muting my tv and the nonsense that comes out of the mouth of Billy Packer. Good day and Good night and we will be back for more gomp blog in the coming days.

One quick edit

Western Kentucky is not in, North texas has their 16 seed and with Wright State in, obviously one of my at-large teams is out. My last at-large team is Illinois so i would drop them from the 12 seed and fill them in with Wright St, and I also do not have WVU in the tourney in ym auto-bid section.

MARCH MADNESS

I have now realized that the eventual fate of the world of sports journalism will fall into the hands of sports bloggers all over the world. The ability to allow normal, average, every day men and women to have their voices heard by the hundreds of people that surf the web each day is a powerful tool. I too am joining this parade, and I am starting my blog by becoming joe lunardi the second. My 64/65 teams that I believe will enter the tourney are on the way, stay tuned.
